I’m Just Average Teen Me. Trying something new sounded like an interesting idea at the moment. I have a bunch of ideas today, so a lot of the next few posts will have all been written pretty much at the same time. If you haven’t already guessed, today’s post is going to be about revising, since most of us are done with that hellish madness for the year, and we can look back to remember just how much fun we had. Sarcasm detector says BEEEEEEEP!
Okay so after that painfully long intro, I think it’s about time we got into the post.
LISTENING TO MUSIC
Power revision with a bunch of colourful rhythmic notes and being able to remember everything in the whole exam thanks to that music.
Getting distracted by the music when your jam comes on, and becoming Taylor Swift in the You Belong With Me video….
Very organised scheduling and never missing a single slot for revision.
Losing the timetable, forgetting that it exists, refusing to obey it and just doing whatever you like because that’s how you roll.
Frills and cute bubble writing, that will be super easy in the exam for remembering.
It looks like someone squished a spider in the notebook…
BALANCING SOCIAL LIFE
“I’m going to make sure I go out to meet my friends every now and then so that I get some fresh air and don’t go insane!”
Emerges from bedroom only to get food, looking like a mad scientist that hasn’t slept in 500 years
DRINKING WATER AND STAYING HEALTHY
Hearing that it’s genuinely helpful to drink water and stay healthy while you’re revising or actually sitting your exam, so you drink water, duh.
Exam week becomes the one week where you, for some random reason, forget to eat, sleep, drink and probably breathe.
ARRIVING SUPER EARLY ON THE DAY
Strolling into the school library with another 30 minutes to recap the notes one last time.
*Breaks out into Ariana Grande*
It rains. The bus is late. You probably crash into people on the way to school because you’re trying to see what the hell that word says on your raindrop smudged revision notes.
THE ACTUAL EXAM
Oh god everything is going to fall to pieces and I’m going to fail and die.
YOU’LL BE FINNNNNEEEE, you revised, remember? Just breathe!
That’s everything that I thought of for this post! Let me know if you could relate to any of them! I hope you enjoyed reading this, since it’s a different kind of post to normal, as well as my experimenting with coloured fonts 😀
To end the post, I wanted to give a little shout-out to anyone waiting for exam results, whether it be GCSE, A level, Degree or anything else. You’ll be fine! And know that whatever happens, keep this in mind, it’s one of my favourite quotes.
“Sometimes you need to fall before you can fly.”
And for anyone who might be slightly religious, Britt sent me a quote the other day, and I really loved it.
When God pushes you off a cliff of worries, he’ll either catch you when you fall, or he’ll teach you how to fly.”
