BLGOMAS DAY 7 | COOKIES GALORE

Hi,

I’m Just Average Teen Me. Welcome to day 7 of Blogmas!

**********************************************

4 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

**********************************************

We’re less than 5 days to go, and I’m still in school! Holidays start after half a day in tomorrow, though!

What’s Christmas without cookies? Unless you’re some sort of cookie-phobe or a little bit of a Scrooge (there’s literally one in my year), then you’ll understand how central cookies are to the entire Christmas season. Hence why I’ve done this post.

Today, dear readers, I will share with you some of the best cookie recipes (I looked at the reviews, I’m sorry) on the internet. Hopefully, there’ll be a variety of difficulties and styles, if you can have styles of cookies?

  1. Mini Cinnamon Roll Cookies (Sounds heavenly, I know)
  2. Chocolate-Mint Cookies
  3. Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies
  4. Spiced Shortbread
  5. White Chocolate and Peppermint Blondies
  6. Red Velvet Snowballs
  7. Melting Snowman Biscuits
  8. Sparkling Vanilla Cookies
  9. Rudolph Shortbread
  10. Pistachio and Cranberry Cookies

And that’s a few cookie recipes to get you through this Christmas! What are some of your favourties? Let me know if you use any of these! 😀

Blogmas Day 9!

Hi,

I’m Just Average Teen Me. Welcome to Blogmas day 9!

**********************************************

2 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

**********************************************

Now, it’s definitely acceptable to jump up and down and squeal with excitement! The day after tomorrow is Christmas people! We’re really close now!

Today’s Blogmas post will be another tutorial sort of thing… It’s more along the lines of a recipe! I’ll be sharing an amazing recipe for some Christmas Cookies that I love around Christmas!

So, for these cookies, you’ll need:

150g (5 oz) self-raising flour

150g (5 oz) plain flour

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (or nutmeg/ginger etc)

125g (4.5 oz) butter

100g (3.75 oz) sugar

1 beaten egg

And just to let you know, this recipe is supposed to make 48 cookies, but depending on the size you make yours, you could have more or less!

Onto the method!

  1. Set your oven to 160 degrees C or Gas mark 3
  2. Sift flour and cinnamon/nutmeg/ginger into a big bowl
  3. In another bowl, mix your butter and sugar until it doesn’t have any clumps left (and is smooth)
  4. Add an egg and mix it nicely
  5. Stir in the mixture from the other bowl until it makes a dough
  6. Put it onto a lightly floured (so you don’t stick it down) and knead (punch it) until it’s smooth
  7. Use a rolling pin to roll it to about half a centimetre thick
  8. Use shape cutters or knives to cut the dough into shapes (snowmen and Christmas trees would be a great option!) and place them onto a greased oven tray – make sure it’s greased well so your cookies don’t get stuck!
  9. Bake in your preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes. or until they look lightly golden.
  10. Let them cool and enjoy!

That’s the recipe! I hope some of you try it and see how tasty they are! If you want, you could use icing to decorate them! Let me know if you use this recipe!

Thank you SO much for reading! Make sure to like and follow if you like my blog and leave any thoughts or suggestions in the comments!
