BLOLIDAYS #3 | Summer Expectations VS Reality

I’m Just Average Teen Me. Welcome to week 3 of of Blolidays! Can you believe we’re already at week three? Well, technically I’m not at week three as I write this, because it’s actually the day before I’ll post week two, which should be up as you’re reading this.

SO, I just sneezed about five million times, so my nose feels like a balloon.

For this week’s Blolidays post, I thought it would be fun to do some Summer Expectations VS Reality stuff. You guys seemed to like my Revision one of  those, so I’m hoping you’ll like this one too!

Sleep Schedules

Expectation: I’ll have a fan in my room so I don’t die, and I’ll get plenty of sleep every night.

Reality: Sudden heat wave crashes into the UK. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? IS THIS A FREAKING INCUBATOR? And then the brother screams the Star Wars theme song at stupid o’clock in the morning. -.-

Meeting Friends

Expectation: We’ll meet up every now and then so we don’t forget that we all exist, right?

Reality: Mum actually tells me to get out of the house and do something because all I do is sit in my bedroom all day….. :/

Staying Fit

Expectation: P.E lessons aren’t here anymore, so I have to make sure I don’t become a potato!

Reality: You expect me to exercise in this heat? HAH, NO THANKS!

Eating Healthy

Expectation: We bought a death machine! Aka a blender, and I’ll live off smoothies and be really healthy! They’ll be so tasty too!

Reality: Well this is disgusting. Let’s not try to do that again. I’ll stick with toast.

Wearing Nice Clothes

Expectation: Prancing around in holiday/beach-wear 24/7 and looking like an angel

Reality: Hold up, I don’t actually own any summery clothes… Looks like I’ll be in a hoodie and jeans then!

Expectation: My legs are going to be so beautiful they’ll kill people

Reality: I’m a bear, I’m a bear, with brown fuzzy hair

And that’s everything for this post! I hope you enjoyed it, and I’ll see you next Saturday with another Blolidays post!

My Favourite Recipe Ever!

I’m Just Average Teen Me. Today, as you have probably got from the title, I’ll be sharing my favourite recipe ever. I mentioned it in my last post, Relaxing, and I thought I would bless you all with how to make it. Trust me, if you like any cake (Who doesn’t?), you will love this as much as I do ❤

I should probably tell you that it’s a chocolate mug cake, so a cake, in a mug. Perfection.

If you want to make this (please do if you have the time!) you will need:

1/4 cup of flour (all purpose)

2tbsp Cocoa powder (I love to use the Cadbury’s hot chocolate one)

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt (I usually skip this one out, though, don’t want too much salt in there!)

2tbps sugar (you can add more or take some if you want)

1/4 + 1tbsp milk

2tbsp vegetable oil (NOT olive oil! I used olive once and it was disgusting – don’t do it 😀 )

Hazelnut spread/Nutella (if you want. I like it normal, though)

And here are the instructions!

  1. Get a bowl, and mix together the flour, chocolate powder, sugar, baking powder and salt (if you’re using it).
  2. Mix in the milk and vegetable until there are no clumps or dry bits, making sure to get the powder from the edges of the bowl! It’s quite easy to make this one smooth so it shouldn’t take long at all.
  3. Find a big, microwave-safe, mug (the biggest one you have, to avoid overflowing and big messes)
  4. If you are using chocolate spread, put it into the middle now. Just drop it off the spoon, no need to swish or push it around.
  5. Put a paper towel/ kitchen roll into the microwave, so that if your cake overflows, it won’t trash your microwave
  6. Put the mug in, and microwave for around 70 seconds. If it isn’t ready straight away (still soft and gooey, which sometimes I like if it’s only a bit, it’s safe because there isn’t any egg) then put it in for another 10-20 seconds and check again.
  7. Be very careful because it will probably be quite hot!
  8. ENJOY!
  9. Make it again because you will want another 😀

And that, my friends is how to make heaven in a mug! I hope you try it out, and love it as much as I do! Let me know if you make it! ❤

Thank you SO much for reading! Make sure to like and follow if you like my blog and leave any thoughts or suggestions in the comments!

Just Average Teen Me

Posted in blogging101, personal, teen

I’m Just Average Teen Me. Today’s blogging 101 challenge was to use prompts. Here is the link to mine. Anyways, the prompt was to do with heroes. And who my hero was when I was little…

Obviously besides Cinderella (Seriously, who didn’t DOESN’T want to meet a Prince Charming and become a Princess??), my hero when I was little, was probably my parents. He was strong, and could lift the whole toybox! And he always had interesting stories from when he was younger.

When I was little, probably around 5, I saw my parents as superheroes, I thought they could do anything. They were taller than me – much taller. And stronger, like the hulk. Faster like Spider-Man. And very clever like Mr Fantastic! Obviously they didn’t have superhuman powers or anything – I think I’d be scared if they did! But, to 5 year old me, they pretty much did!

Nowadays, I wouldn’t really say I have a hero…. Just sort of look up to people. Like Lea Michele (she was in the whole of glee) who stayed strong in difficult situations despite lots of media attention, anyone who always is kind and nice to people (Jeez this sounds really cheesy… Sorry about that 🙂 ) and my Aunty. She’s a doctor, and if you have read my Bucket List blog then you’ll know that I too want to be a doctor.

Thank you for reading! This post may have been a little boring, the prompts were actually quite difficult to spark an idea but this one seemed the most interesting…. Make sure to like and follow if you like my blog (thanks if you do by the way. I’m almost at 30 followers! I think there are about 27 of you! That’s crazy!) Who are your heroes? And who do you look up to??? Let me know in the comments below!

Bye! 🙂
