A Big Ol’ Favorites

Hey there friends. Yes you guys are my friends.

I was thinking yesterday, and I realised that I haven’t done a favourites post in way too long. Im not sure how long exactly, but I don’t recall writing one for December.
Since it’s now March, I have a pretty solid opinion on a bunch of Christmas gifts and new splurges so it’s the perfect time to share them! Not to mention, I do love writing these. 😀

Imperial Leather – Mouthwatering Fruit Chew Shower Cream

I know, that’s a mouthful of a name, and could be a mouthful of soap if you don’t read the packaging! Rachel bought me this for Christmas, and I’ve used it every shower since. It claims to revitalise skin, and leave you feeling refreshed and smelling great. It smells incredible and definitely makes my skin feel super smooth.

Ferrero Rocher

I’m not sure if you can get your hands on these outside the UK, so I’ll give you a little description. They’re basically a roasted hazelnut, in a ball of gooey chocolate, with a hard chocolate coating and then more hazelnut pieces around the outside. If you’re anything like me and would gladly live off hazelnut chocolate for the rest of your life, you’d probably like them. 🙂

MoonCup

If you read a recent post of mine, you’ll know that I have been introduced (by buzzfeed) to the blissful world of menstrual cups. I won’t ramble on too much, when you could just head on over here to read, but these are an absolute game changer. Mine’s Size B, which is for under 30 y/o who haven’t had any kiddos.

Infinity Rises and Infinity Reborn – S. Harisson

You might remember that around a year ago, I read the first book in the Infinity trilogy. The entire plot captivated me from start to finish, and I was so excited to read the next two. Now that I finally have, I can safely say that they certainly lived up to my expectations, with the third one definitely exceeding! If you’re at all into sci-fi I really recommend checking them out! Even I’m not usually the biggest sci-fi fan but these are easily my favourite books!

Mistik Fragrance Diffuser

This one’s a slight oddball one, but I thought it’d be nice to throw into the mix. I was in Aldi (British supermarket) with my mum a couple months ago, and stumbled across an ‘Apple and Cinnamon’ scented diffuser. I’d owned one diffuser (rose scented, if you’re interested) and really loved the whole idea, so I decided to buy it. Not to mention my undying love of anything cinnamon. It smells amazing, and has been lasting really well!

Snapchat

With Christmas being just a few months ago, I got a new phone (thank the lord). That meant I could finally get Snapchat. Having used a pretty disfunctional phone for two years prior to then, Twitter was the only social media I really used. So, Snapchat was pretty confusing at first, but it’s quickly become one of my favourites. If you’re wondering, the black and white sunglasses is my favourite filter. 😉

Teen Wolf Season 6

Anyone that knows me well is very aware that I’m a huge fan of the MTV series Teen Wolf. Every season has such an intriguing plot, and this season has been no exception. The ghost riders are really elaborate characters and the storylines are EMOTIONAL (Stydia shippers, I feel you) and I’m really hoping the next half of the season will be just as amazing!

Lacrosse Hoodie

While we’re on the topic of Teen Wolf, I thought I’d mention one of my Christmas presents. It’s a lacrosse hoodie from Beacon High (the school on teen wolf) with Lahey 14 on the back. Isaac is easily my favourite character in all of the 6 seasons, and I really hope he comes back at some point soon! But anyway, it’s a size too big, which makes it quite baggy, and pleases my fangirl heart since I can imagine it’s Isaac’s hoodie. Yep, I’m depressing, but you probably would too 🙂

Nspa

As a Christmas gift, Britt got me a chocolate bar and a set of lip balms, because I’m always complaining about my dry lips. They’re made by nspa and it’s safe to say that they’ve quickly become a staple of mine! It came in three variations: Raspberry, Coconut, and my favourite, Shea Butter. They’re super moisturising and I haven’t complained about my lips nearly as much since I started using them! Definitely recommend!

That’s all for now! I guess I’ll see you next time then 🙂

BLOGMAS DAY 2 | CHRISTMAS LIST 2016

Hi,

I’m Just Average Teen Me. Welcome to Day 2 of Blogmas!

**********************************************

9 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

**********************************************

As shopping gets insane for families across the world, the Christmas lists have been written, and sent off to Santa, Father Christmas, whatever you call him. Today I thought it’d be fun to share some of the things I’ve asked for this Christmas!

Fifth Harmony Poster

As the majority of you will have gathered by now, I’m a pretty big fan of Fifth Harmony. If you hadn’t, well, take note! Currently, I have Harry Potter, Glee and Once Upon A Time posters (one of each) up on one of my walls and I’d love to add a little bit of 5H there because why the heck not!

Beacon Hills Lacrosse Hoodie (Lahey 14)

Chances are, you’ll have also picked up on my love for the MTV series ‘Teen Wolf’. In the show, there’s a lacrosse (it’s a sport) team, and all the players have their own jerseys. My favourite character, Isaac, has a jersey saying Lahey 14, Lahey being his last name. So, I’m hoping it’d be nice and soft and over-sized and everything that an awesome hoodie is. ❤

Mermaid Blanket

You might have seen these floating around in the world of social media; I know I definitely have done! They’re basically big woolly blankets in the shape of a mermaid tail. If that doesn’t sound pretty freaking cute then I’m not sure what does!

Guitar Capo

As a guitar player and music lover, it’s only natural for me to want to play along to all of my favourite songs. HOWEVER, many of them need a capo, which is essentially a bar that goes across one of the frets, making the pitch higher or lower depending on where you put it.

Infinity Rises and Infinity Reborn

For my birthday in March, my mum bought me the first book of the Infinity Trilogy by S. Harrison. It’s called Infinity Lost, and if you’re any Sci-Fi fan or just generally interested in elaborate worlds and fiction then I strongly suggest you get your hands on these! I’ve been debating whether to spend my own money and just buy the next books all year but now that Christmas is finally here, maybe I won’t have to!!

And that’s everything I’ve asked for this Christmas! What about you? What are you wishing to find under the Christmas tree this year? Aside from Cody Christian, obviously. ❤

Happy Blogmas!

November 2016 Favourites

Hi,

I’m Just Average Teen Me. We’re already a week into December, and slowly getting closer and closer to Christmas but for the next few minutes let’s look back to November. It was pretty insane, not going to lie, but there was some good stuff 😀

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Most Harry Potter fans will have seen this by now, but I’ll avoid spoilers; don’t worry! Although I would say I prefer the Harry Potter films, fbawtft (abbreviation, if you’re wondering) was super amazing, and Eddie Redmayne was a fantastic actor for Newt! Definitely recommend!

Lindt Hot Chocolate

As an avid fan of both Lindt and hot chocolate, I more than likely squealed when I found out Costa were selling Lindt hot chocolates as a part of their Christmas range of drinks. I went with Ashley after school one day (coincidentally, we were right behind Flynn for a good ten minutes which I am not complaining about at all) and although it’s just shy of £3 for a pretty small sized hot chocolate, it was beyond worth it! One way I found to describe it was: like chocolate cake mix before it’s been baked. Heart eyes all over ❤

B&M

If you live in the UK, you might be familiar with B&M Bargains, if not, let me enlighten you. It’s essentially a shop with a lot of cheap things. It’s a lot of the things that you’d get in other shops, but for considerably cheaper in price, not to mention the insane variety of stuff there. You might remember that it’s where I did my school shopping this year! It’s also where I do the majority of any birthday and Christmas shopping. Check it out if you have any nearby!

Shawn Mendes

Ashley, being the insane Shawn Mendes fan that she is, has got us two tickets to see him on his Illuminate tour next April. Sure, I’d heard the more famous songs like ‘Stitches’ and I had ‘Treat You Better’ saved to my Spotify along with a few others like ‘Life of the Party’ but I hadn’t properly listened to the majority of his music. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by it, and have ended up knowing all of the words to them all within about a month and a half! Lights On is definitely my fave 😀

OUAT Season 6A

I’m pretty damn sad to say, but OUAT has just broken up for the mid-season break (cries river of lost souls). That doesn’t at all take away from how amazing the first half of the season was! So many new situations literally had me begging for more after every new episode, and now I have to wait until (probably) March for the next half of the season.. 😦

Teen Wolf Season 6

As you might remember from previous posts, I’m a fan of the MTV series: Teen Wolf. The Final Season started earlier this month, and while I’ll no doubt miss it, I can’t wait to see where this season is going! The new villains, the Ghost Riders, are some of the most intriguing characters they’ve had yet, and I’m just hanging onto hope that Daniel Sharman will come back as Isaac at some point! 😀

That’s most of what I’ve been enjoying this month! Let me know what you’ve been loving in the comments!

Monthly Look-Ahead: NOVEMBER 2016

Hi,

I’m Just Average Teen Me. First of all, I apologise for my terribly unorganised blogging scheduling this week. I’m on school half-term (a week off) and I can’t keep track of the days to save my life.

Anyways, since it’s very nearly November (I know: insane, isn’t it?) it’s time to do a November Look Ahead! I can already think of quite a few things just off the top of my head, so this one might be a little more interesting!

Back to my Favourite Theme Park

As you may remember, I went to Blackpool Pleasure Beach in July, and I’d been so many times before. It’s by far my favourite theme park I’ve ever been to, mainly because the rollercoasters are just amazing. Anyway, my mum is taking me and two of my sisters there to end the school holidays, which should be awesoome. I’m mainly just hoping that the photographer from last time is there. Damn he was a beautiful human  *heart eyes* ❤

Teen Wolf Season 6

If you’re a fan of Teen Wolf, or happen to have a friend who is obsessed with it, you’ll know that the sixth season is starting mid-November. After the trailer, I literally could not be more excited! DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT STYDIA MOMENT OHMY I CANNOT. Basically. It’s the last season as well… 😦 I’m really hoping they bring back Isaac because he was 1) Hilarious and 2) Freaking adorable. And Derek – he needs to come back too…

Bonfire Night

Halloween is almost over (in two days), and after that, it’s bonfire night! If you don’t do bonfire night, let me enlighten you. It’s basically a night (bet you didn’t get that), on November 5th, where we have fireworks and sparklers and eat sweets and cake, at least my Grandma always feeds us…. Does anyone else eat loads of sweet stuff? Anyway, the fireworks are super exciting, and I can’t wait for them to come back this year!

FESTIVE STUFF

After Bonfire Night is done, my brain goes straight into Christmas mode. Being the Christmas obsessed person, that I am, that’s very exciting. More than likely, I’ll have Christmas playlists blaring 24/7, probably annoying my whole family but what else am I supposed to do? IT’S NEARLY CHRISTMAS! 😀

Darker Evenings

If you’re in the UK, you’ll know that the clocks just changed. If you’re in the UK and you didn’t know, then I suggest you change your clocks. Anyway, we’re now in GMT instead of BST, so when it’s 5pm, it’s as dark as it would be at 6pm, plus the darker evenings that we get with winter everywhere. As creepy as it might sound, I love darker evenings, because it feels so much cosier, and really gets me into a Christmassy mood. Who am I kidding, I’m in a Christmassy mood in July… But yeah, I’m super excited for it to be pitch black at 5pm soon!

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Any Harry Potter Fan will be anxiously awaiting the release of a film about Hogwarts, witches, wizards and everything else Harry Potter, minus the Harry Potter characters, if I’m correct? I think it’s released on November 18th in the UK, but I might have to do some research on that to make sure.

Learning More Songs for my Guitar

Usually, I just use my guitar for learning music pieces that I’ve got to do for my exams (currently working towards Grade 6) but lately, I’ve been trying to learn some of the songs that I actually listen to. Of course, it’s kind of difficult without a capo, and you’ll understand that if you play guitar too. I guess that’ll have to be on my Christmas list! If you’re interested, I’ve been learning a few Shawn Mendes songs (Mercy and No Promises).

And that’s everything I’m excited for in November! I’m sure there’ll be a few more that I’ve missed, but those are the main ones that stick out to me.

What are you looking forward to in November?

August 2016 Favourites

Hi,

I’m Just Average Teen Me. School is underway and September has officially begun. I mean, it’s been a few days, but as I write this, it’s actually only 3 days in. Anyway, I have a few things I’ve been really enjoying this month, and it’s the perfect time to share them, as I do at the end of all the other months!

Coconut Chips

While I was out with my friends last week, I was casually walking down the checkout aisle in Primark, when a pretty bag of coconut chips caught my eye. I hadn’t eaten lunch yet, and I didn’t plan on doing, so I snatched a bag from the shelves and bought it right then. They claim to be 100% natural with no preservatives or anything, but honestly, I’m not sure. They kind of attacked my lips later on in the day… Skin was going chapped and they were preeettyyy dark pink… The actual coconut chips tasted amazing, though, and I still have the bag of leftovers on my desk, but I can only smell them – no eating… If you’re sensitive to that kind of thing, then I would suggest avoiding them.

Vaseline

Because of the slight disaster in the lip department, I needed a solution, as fast as possible. Vaseline happened to be the closest thing I had, so I loaded it onto my lips every hour or so. It took about three days for them to go back normal, but it would have took so much longer if I didn’t have any! Thank you Vaseline ❤

No Makeup At All

With it being Summer Holidays, chances were, I wouldn’t see anyone I actually knew, so I didn’t bother to wear makeup all month. You’d think it’d have some sort of skin benefits, but I really didn’t notice anything. I just found it quite empowering to not care about what random people think of how your skin looks. Plus, I didn’t have to deal with putting it on every morning! 😀

Stationery Shopping

As I have mentioned several times in the last few posts, I love to shop for stationery. And having school coming up meant that we had to do just that! As I mentioned in my Stationery Haul, I went to B&M for the majority of my school supplies, aside from a pencil sharpener and school bags. Anyway, I always find stationery shopping really refreshing, and exciting.

Teen Wolf

Ashley has raved about Teen Wolf for so long, and I only started watching it about two weeks ago (actually just over two weeks, but exactly two weeks as I write this!) when I realised just how attractive Dylan O’Brien is. I’ve seen both of the Maze Runner movies a few times, and not really taken much notice, but I watched The Internship, and those glasses won me over. Attractiveness aside, it’s a really good TV show, and had me hooked throughout the whole thing. It took me about a week to watch all five seasons, and now I have to wait until November for season 6, which will be the last one 😦

Chord Overstreet

If you said his name to me, the first thing on my mind, would more than likely be ‘Fabrevans’ or ‘Overgron’ which is my all-time favourite ship in the entire universe of ships. But this has nothing to do with Dianna Agron (although she is insanely beautiful and I just thought I’d let you know). Chord recently released a single called “Homeland” and it’s safe to say that it has been one of my favourite songs for the last few weeks. If you’re a fan of Taylor Swift’s old music, then you’ll probably like this, so I definitely recommend checking it out on iTunes or Spotify!

Time to Myself

Sure, I like having the company of my friends, but I just as much love being able to bask in the silence of my bedroom. Correction: bask in the havoc of a house with 5 children younger than me. Anyway, it’s nice to have some alone time, no matter how much it is. Being the introvert that I am, I love having some quiet time, where I can do whatever I feel like.

Blolidays Posts

If you didn’t already know, for the last six weeks, I’ve been doing posts called ‘Blolidays’, which is a hybrid word that I invented from blog and holidays. I really enjoyed writing them all, and I’ll definitely miss it. Hopefully, you liked reading them!

Miss Sporty Crush On You

This is a perfume that one of my friends got for me at my birthday in March. At the time, it was cold and wet, so I didn’t feel like it really fit in. But now that Summer has been (and almost gone), it’s been a perfect match. It’s supposed to be Freesia and Violet petal scented, so it smells quite floral. If you’re a fan of that kind of smell, I definitely think you should have a look – or a smell!

That’s everything from August 2016! What have you been enjoying this month? Let me know in the comments!
